Christmas Shopping Special, part I

This polar cold so characteristic from dry winter in Madrid it’s been installed already in the city. Coats and dark clothes complete our winter looks daily; however, that doesn’t mean we cannot wear a distinguishing touch to our style that defines that madrilean soul we all have inside, right?

Because it’s Christmas, we’ve contacted with four brands with 100% madrilean spirit to present you this Christmas Shopping Special that will be developed between this post and the next one.

This week is the turn of The Carnivore Flea and Lulibu.

The Carnivore Flea was born in a trip to London where Conchi, the designer, felt in love with that different and original style that was so present on the streets of Camden Town so difficult to find in Spain in that moment. Attitude, declaration of principles, rock and grunge are the key of this T-shirts brand based  on the influence of the nineties.

Its designer confesses she’s fan of Sofia Coppola’s movies, fan of others from the nineties like Clueless and also fan of Olsen twins TV series. All of this completes the influences and the style of these items.

With its muse, Erin Wasson, and its philosophy of life that defines “life is too short  to wear boring T-shirts”, The Carnivore Flea pretends to demonstrate T-shirts are not only a sport garment; they are also something that could be mixed with almost everything. Conchi advices us to combine them with jewelery and always “with a good leather jacket”.

The Carnivore Flea’s favorite place in Madrid? “In Dreams Cafe, where you can have a piece of chocolate cake with a good milkshake or a cocktail or an Elvis hamburguer Memphis could be envy of!”.

Lulibu is the result of the experience of two brothers from Madrid in fashion accessories sector until they decided  to create their own online boutique.

We could define this accessories brand as eclectic, like that woman who likes to change the style depending on the day. It’s also a brand that defines that madrilean style from the 80’s which stills alive in the spirit of brands as Lulibu.

For Lulibu’s designers, accessories are the star of an outfit with perfect basics, its aim it’s to show a personality that talks by itself through that accesories and its inspirations are the trends and the discovered treasures you can use to create a ring, a bracelet or a bag.

Lulibu’s favorite place in Madrid? “Everytime you walk around, through any neigborhood and you discover it, as if it was the first time, once again”

ESPECIAL SHOPPING NAVIDEÑO, parte I

Cheers,
